At Wight Motorsports Inc. (WMI), speed and craftsmanship go hand in hand. We are a premier Canadian builder of
high-performance race cars specializing in stock cars, oval-track machines, and top-tier road racing platforms. Along with complete chassis builds, we offer custom metal fabrication, body work, performance parts, and full repair services to keep teams competitive on race day.
Founded in 2017 by owner and president David Wight, WMI has grown into a trusted family run operation that prides itself on quality, integrity, and hands-on support. David and his wife Caitlin lead the daily operations and remain the driving force behind the company’s continued growth.
Racing is a year round lifestyle for the Wight family, who spend their free time at tracks across Canada and the United States. Through winter months, WMI extends its reach by supporting and fielding cars throughout the southern U.S. to keep customers sharp all season long.

Wight Motorsports (WMI) is recognized as a premier Canadian builder of competitive short-track race cars, specializing in both oval and road racing platforms. WMI built chassis and race cars can be found competing across North America, including in series such as the NASCAR Canada Series, Super Late Model, Pro Late Model, and Super Stock divisions.
In addition to complete chassis construction, WMI offers repair and fabrication services for virtually any type of race vehicle, along with a wide selection of performance parts and accessories to keep teams performing at their best.
